This award is given for an outstanding presentation at the Japan Atomic Energy Society’s 2023 Annual Meeting.

〈About awarded research〉

To ensure reactor safety during a loss-of-coolant accident (LOCA), it is necessary to precisely evaluate the fracture limit of fuel cladding tubes during a LOCA. We proposed a method that can effectively improve the prediction accuracy of the fracture by incorporating additional data based on the information criterion into the fracture prediction by Bayesian updating.

〈Your impression & future plan〉

I was surprised that my presentation based on my own research won an award among many other presentations. At the same time, I am happy that my research presentation was highly evaluated in such an academic setting.　As for my future aspirations, I intend to continue my current research to gain deeper knowledge.
