【Awards and Commendations】Keiji OISHI, (D2), Abe labo, won “Excellent student poster Award” at AESJ Annual Meeting in Spring, 2021.

1.Name
Keiji OISHI

2.Faculty/Graduate School, Department (Stream / Program) / Major
D2, School of Engineering, Department of Nuclear Engineering and Management

3.Name of award and short explanation about the award
“Excellent student poster Award”
It was given for the superior poster presentation by students at this conference.

4.About awarded research
Title: Study on high temperature oxidation of structural material F82H in fusion reactor blanket
Summary:In this research, F82H (6×6×1 mm) specimens were subjected to heating at 773 K and 873 K up to 2000 hours and 500 hours under dehydrated He+0.1%H2 sweep gas. Results showed that the surface of F82H was oxidized as Fe3O4 at 773 K, whereas a pure Fe layer was formed at 873 K. Thermodynamic calculations showed that the stable iron oxide produced under the experimental conditions was Fe3O4, which was in agreement with the experimental results. The reason for the difference in the chemical form of iron on the F82H surface at 500°C and 600°C is thought to be that the H2O/H2 ratio in the atmosphere required for the oxidation of iron is different at each temperature.

5.Your impression & future plan
It is my great honor to win this award. I really thank Prof. Hiroaki Abe and all members of my laboratory. I will do my best in my research.
