Briefing sessions (admissions guidance) will be held in a hybrid format on the dates and times listed below.

Regarding Foreign Language Examination (English)
(2026 Entrance Examination [conducted in 2025, Master's and Doctoral Programs])

Submit the official score of TOEFL (TOEFL iBT, or TOEFL iBT Home Edition).
The due deadline for submission is Thursday, June 5, 2025.
Applicants who wish to take special oral examination in Master's Programs must submit it by Thursday, June 5, 2025 as well.
For details regarding the submission of TOEFL official score, follow the instructions that will be posted on the Graduate School website in the future.
Please make sure to deal with it under ample time to spare.

Application Documents for Special Oral Examination in Master’s Program (for individuals who graduated, or are expected to graduate, from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Tokyo) [Monday, May 12th, 2025]

Following the instructions on the WEB Application System, individuals should upload a copy of original academic transcripts (including liberal arts courses) (PDF) of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Tokyo by 3PM (JST) on June 5th (Thursday), who graduated, or are expected to graduate, from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Tokyo and would like to take special oral examination.

Application Documents for Special Oral Examination in Master’s Program (The way to submit) [Monday, May 12th, 2025]

Following the instructions on the WEB Application System, a short thesis regarding reason for application and research content and a grade summary sheet reporting the academic grade of undergraduate course etc. should be uploaded as electronic files (PDF) by 3PM (JST) on June 5th (Thursday).

Application Documents for Special Oral Examination in Master’s Program [Monday, May 12th, 2025]

Applicants must complete both a short thesis regarding reason for application and research content and a grade summary sheet reporting the academic grade of undergraduate course etc. by downloading the templates below and submit them as electronic files (PDF) by 3PM (JST) on June 5th (Thursday). Please follow the instructions in the templates to complete them. The way of the submission will be announced later.

To Prospective International Students

The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Management offers advanced study and research opportunities to international students. Master's and Doctoral courses will lead to the corresponding degrees respectively in two years and three years. Lectures and instructions for research are given generally in English. Japanese language courses are optionally available.

There are various types of application procedures for the graduate programs in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Management as follows.
