Applicants who cannot come to Japan due to Covid-19

We have received several inquiries from overseas about the possibility of online admissions, but our examination policy is as stated in our admissions brochure (excerpts below).

Written examination will be conducted on campus. Depending on the spread of COVID-19 in Japan, however, there is a possibility of conducting online examinations. The announcement will be found on the website (http://www.n.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/).
Screening of the applicants who cannot come to Japan due to Covid-19 related restrictions will be performed on different dates. For such cases the applicants don’t need to apply nor pay examination fees again. The detailed dates and procedures for this will be informed when the admission card is issued.

Meeting for admissions guidance will be held in a hybrid format on the dates and times listed below.

To Prospective International Students

The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Management offers advanced study and research opportunities to international students. Master's and Doctoral courses will lead to the corresponding degrees respectively in two years and three years. Lectures and instructions for research are given generally in English. Japanese language courses are optionally available.
